How the flooring estimate is calculated
For a rectangular room, floor area is length multiplied by width. The selected waste allowance is added, then the required area is divided by the coverage in each pack. The result is rounded up to a whole number of packs.
Packs = ceil((length × width × (1 + waste)) ÷ pack coverage)
The calculator also shows the total area you will actually purchase after pack rounding.
